So we are still basking in the euphoria of beating Man United and the players are off to international duty and this usually means that there’s no real news per se. So I thought; why not have some fun? I have been thinking to myself, if the Arsenal team weren’t footballers, what would they be?
So here’s a list of players and what I think their alternative jobs would be, you can go to town on the comments section and give an opinion on what you think they’d be.

Mid-level white collar company executive
You can just imagine the Arsenal shot stopper, without the head gear or the gloves, with his balding head and all, he does look like an executive working 9-5, coming home from work to a quiet dinner with the wife and kids.
2. Per Mertesacker
College Professor
The BFG is known for being well read, you can just imagine him in a tweed jacket teaching at a German university, probably literature. He would be perfect don’t you think?
3. Laurent Koscielny
Bart Simpson body double
They do look alike don’t you think? He would totally be a lovely stunt double for ol Bart, or if they do a movie…or something.
4. Nacho Monreal
Ice cream guy
I dunno, whenever I can just imagine Nacho in those hats, selling ice cream from an ice cream truck…or maybe even hot dogs.
5. Santi Cazorla
Cake shop or Grocery shop Owner
You know those corner grocery shops with that kindly man who’s constantly smiling? Or the one that sells cakes that would give a lolly to your kid with that kindly smile? That’s Santi, he smiles so much, you can just imagine it and he’ll be great in an apron, you agree no?
6. Francis Coquelin
World’s shortest Bouncer
Francis would look badass in a leather jacket and sunglasses. He would make an awesome bodyguard or club bouncer. You would never get past him, that’s for sure
7. Aaron Ramsey
Golfer maybe?
Well I had trouble with this and all I could think of was Ramsey in his golf attire and he looked spiffy, so you know, maybe he could…you know…do that
8. Mesut Ozil
Reclusive writer or actor
Mesut is just too cool. I mean it. He is just too cool. When I imagine him outside football, you can just imagine him like Daniel day Lewis, he’ll do a movie, win an Oscar and just disappear for a while. He will be picky with his movies and projects and he’ll be all broody on the red carpet, maybe dress like Jonny Depp or something
9. Alexis Sanchez
Footballer
I mean, what else can he be? If he wasn’t a footballer he’d be successful that much is sure. He’s such a scrapper. I imagine he’ll be like the head of a conglomeration of trucking companies or construction company. I dunno, he’ll just be successful somehow
10. Hector Bellerin
Mob Enforcer
I almost forgot him, but you just see his face and you just know he’ll be a mob Enforcer. “Hey boss, it’s done!” or something like that. He just looks like he’d look great with a suit and a sash over his neck with a tommy gun, but that’s just me.
11. Theo Walcott
Race car driver
I dunno, he just looks that way. He does look a bit like Hamilton, maybe that’s why I see him as that. He looks good for speed and loves it, he’ll look good in a fast car. What say you?

I guess I just imagined him that way, what can I say?
