Do you ever feel like you have two different lives?
One where you are an amazingly successful human and the other where you are just there, things aren’t going so well in that life, where you can be classified as a failure.
Like Spiderman in one life and Peter Parker who just lost his job in the other life.
Like Batman in one life and Bruce Wayne without all his money in the other.
It’s sad to say our beloved Arsenal find themselves in a situation similar to those above.
What do I mean???
Just look at it, we are amazing in the league, have scored 11 in our last 3 games, have conceded the least in the league this season (7 goals), kept 5 clean sheets and are in second position in the league.
Now go over to our other life, the Champions league life. You might say we have played just two games and have four left but looking at the bigger picture, our Champions league life is almost a mess.
We have lost out first two games, conceded 5 and scored 3, are bottom of our table and have to play the seemingly undefeatable Bayern back-to-back.
After that amazing win over the weekend, this new week just brings us back to reality of how shitty we have been in the Champions League.
We face Bayern tomorrow at the Emirates in the first of those two back-to-back games we have against them and right now, beating them seems a big ask seeing as they have yet to lose a game this season, have won their last 12 games, scored 40 and conceded just 5.
Just wow, what a record…
Makes me wonder how we would get past them.
Loads of people have come up with ways to beat them; hit them early like we did against United, Hit them on the counter, start Gabriel instead of Per ‘cos of his speed, Cech must start, play Ox rather than Ramsey, attack them, blah blah blah……
In my opinion tho, whether we would get any point against Bayern in the two games rests solely on the players and the attitude they put into the game.
Bayern players have been talking and even they know how good we can be on our good day.
It’s time to bring that good day to the UCL and make every game our good day.
It’s time to come back to reality that we might not pass the group stages and correct our errors.
Who knows, maybe we could win our remaining 4 games #JustSaying
[Tweet “One thing I am very sure of though is that we cannot lose the two Bayern games.”] I don’t know how many points we would be able to garner by game 5 but I sure know we wont be on 0 points.
So I implore you all to go out there, get behind the team whatever happens and hope for the best.
Till later…
Ciao………..
