Dear Xhaka,
I hope thìs mail meets you well. I also hope you’re not feeling too crushed by your failings against Burnley, and if true, your unsavoury words spoken at a possibly ill-mannered woman.
You seem to carry your hotheadedness off the pitch as well. Those words were not necessary though, you know; that is, if you did speak them as the report of the BBC said you did:
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told the BBC: “Police were called at 19:29 GMT on Monday, 23 January following an allegation that a member of staff had been racially abused at Heathrow Airport, Terminal Five.
“The allegation was made by a third party. Officers attended and spoke with a man in his 20s. He was not arrested. He voluntarily attended a west London police station where he was interviewed under caution. Enquires continue.”
On to other things…
That tackle, was, unnecessary.
Really, it was.

Look at that clip again.
I mean, really, look at it.
The guy wasn’t even in our half of the field, or was he?
Even if he was, you could have closed him down quicker than Per (forgive me BFG fans). You could have lunged at him from the side, cut him off or something. I know it’s easier said than done but you need to not let these moments get to you lad!
And though I’m not really one for stats but, the stats do show that:
- You have the most red cards in the league when calculated by average minutes played.
- You’re on course to be the highest grossing red card holder this season in the league and in the team
- You’ve won 41 tackles, lost 53 and committed 24 fouls in the process of playing 19 games; that’s a lot of fouls
- Girls don’t dig guys who make unnecessary tackles like you did at Burnley.
With this record, you’ll certainly be taking no one to the Cheltenham festival 2017 this March.
Even the boss is little bit mad at him:
“Intelligence means you don’t make the same mistake twice, and I hope he learns from that,” Wenger said then. “Sometimes he makes some clumsy tackles because he’s not a natural defender, he is a guy who likes to go forward. But I will speak to him.”
“He has to control his game and not punish the team with a lack of control in his tackling…- Wenger
And Wenger’s usually patient.
To be honest, I like what you add to the team, we’ve not seen such grit in a while, but, we ask you to be a little more targeted and constructive in your tackles, it’ll do us both a world of good.

Let’s also not forget the fantastic goals you’ve scored, by all means, we’ll need more of these.
Yours truly,
