I appreciate and like the competition we have upfront. We only need to shore up our defence (in case Shkrodran Mustafi leaves), our midfield (just one more body) and our attack (if Alexis is still bent on leaving).
Enjoy the highlights of the match: Sleek passing from Kolasinac, Ramsey and Ozil, goals from Welbz and Lacazette and keeper testing from Ozil, Kolasinac, Welbeck, Giroud and Sanchez. You can watch the highlights here.
Alexis has voiced his willingness to start in our game at Koln, well, he’s got competition now so it’s left to be seen if the boss will bend to his demands.
Wenger has said that Alexis Sanchez is ready and revving to play:
“He is disciplined, serious and committed. “He is focused. He told me he is focused on the Premier League and Europa League. On top of that Chile had a bad experience, but he came back full of desire and was ready to play.
“He is not fat. His fat percentage is under ten, so that’s not fat, but you know how it is when you don’t win, people find every problem for you.
“He was not completely physically ready to start three games in a week and certainly for Chile he was not completely ready as well.”
We saw him in the game against Bournemouth, and though he wasn’t as sharp, he’s getting there. Either way, everyone played well, especially Ramsey. He bossed the midfield.
