Let’s play a little scenario whereby you’re playing a jigsaw puzzle, trying to complete the entire puzzle, fitting the final pieces together or we could even use a game of scrabble for this scenario seeing as it looks like a puzzle. Before I even continue, let’s establish the fact that we all have those friends, at least one who’s very clumsy, I see you trying to find that friend in your head now. Lol
So back to my scenario now, fitting the final pieces of the puzzle together and this one friend comes in all his clumsiness and hits the table or whatever surface the game is on and it all goes…. all your hard-work for days and nights scattered in one little act of clumsiness or act of precision in the case of what we are about to discuss.
No news that Swansea did a CHELSEA against us at the Emirates on Monday night; just when I was starting to think Monday night football was the best for us especially when you consider the fact that everyone else had played and that should give the players some real bite to nail the game. So Swansea came to our home, played ‘boring boring boring’ football and in the end ran out winners, looks like Monk had a little chit chat with Mourinho before that game or Mourinho was Monk in disguise. I’ll def go for the second option.
We had the ball for most of the game with a possession of 62%-38%, created four times the chances they did and had three times the shots they had and we still lost the game thanks to a Bafetimbi Gomis header late in the game. I wonder how that Gomis guy even scores sef, considering the fact his name suggests he should be missing, Go-miss… hehehe*runs away*
Speaking to a friend yesterday about the game and he went all ‘Wenger is a fool and bla bla bla’ you could complete his remaining rants in your head. I couldn’t say I was surprised that one loss in 10 games and considering the fact that Ozil just lost his first game at the Emirates since his arrival. The Wenger-Out banners had already started rolling but then again there was still that little essence of shock, I mean it’s just one game, isn’t it?
That game kind of brought memories of the old Arsenal back, where we dominate, press, possess and can’t penetrate. Sometimes it’s like we are trying to score the perfect goal. All traits of the old Arsenal were brought to light again during the game against Swansea.
Referring back to my puzzle as you played with me earlier on, I want to believe that friend did not scatter the puzzle entirely, he just hit the table a little and although some pieces were distorted we are still on track.
For those in the Wenger-out train just cos we lost our first game in about 10 games, they are the ones who believe the puzzle was scattered entirely.
For me and a host of other believers, it was just a little blip, a call to precision, a reminder to Wenger, the players and the entire Arsenal body that we are not the perfect team yet but we are almost there.
Like I said earlier, just a few pieces and the puzzle should be completed.
