Oh Arsenal our darling Arsenal.
How you keep doing this to us every time is beyond me.
A wise man once said ”Doing the same things and expecting a different result is madness”.
Have you gone mad Arsenal?
Have you lost it all?
As much as it hurts to say, You have lost it Arsenal.
You need a change.
Not the kind of change promised to us Nigerians by the current Buhari administration but real, effectual change.*if you know, you know*
I watched that game yesterday with a little fear inside of me.
That fear stemmed from the fact that not only have we been poor of recent but that our home form has been nothing to write home about.
Add that game yesterday and in the last 6 home games we have Won 1, Drawn 2, Lost 3.
Call me an Octopus but before the game I told a friend ”The Arsenal fan in me thinks Ighalo would break his goal drought and score against us today” and boy did that happen.
Same way I said Rashford was going to get 2 goals against us, I should probably stop saying things before our games ‘cos they end up coming to hunt me and us.
I looked at the featured image today and all that ran through my mind was how many times this season we have seen images of our players looking at the ground, dejected.
It’s sad how frequent those images have become.
Watching that game yesterday and it’s still the same old issues. Same Old. Same old issues.
Possession without Precision.
As much as I would love to call names, I’ll rather just make this about the team in general.
Wayward shooting, poor decision making, reckless tackles, bad defensive positioning, getting dispossessed easily, POOR FINISHING…………
The list is endless. I had a little faith but faith can take you on for only so long.
I still had faith at 1-0 and had faith we could still come back to win.
At 2-0 I had had it all. I left and decided I’ll see the scores later, irrespective of the outcome.
Happy for That Guy tho, he came in and as has become his custom, he scored.
Too little too late.
We are out already.
How ironic that we got knocked out of the FA CUP at our home, the EMIRATES Stadium, same year it was named the EMIRATES FA Cup.
After two years of defeating all that came before us, our FA Cup run is over.
Once again we have done what we are good at doing, BOTTLERS FC.
The next game is against Barcelona and just like Femi, I won’t be watching that game.
I wish the team good luck but then it’s high time I hung my supporter boots for the season.
Ciao.
