The papers today seem to be prepping up for the January transfer windows, with rumours and counter-rumours splashing the front and back pages of even the most respectable newspapers.
Manchester United is planning an obscene spending spree worth £200m. The plan has to do with clearing some star player at Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, what’s left is whether they’ll succeed in convincing these players that the Premier League will be just like home.
Manchester City are throwing their weight around now by giving title warning to opponents; they’ll tear you apart before you get on the pitch…ooo, I’m scared. They’ll give the Chavs a run for their money though.
Brendan Rodgers has hopes for Liverpool and hopefully, keeping his job. Not many clubs are as magnanimous as Arsenal these days. Liverpool have pulled off a string of wins and he hopes they’ll keep doing that for some time to come.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Alan Pardew hopes his beast of a Sissoko pays back the Chavs in their own coin. Let’s hope so, everyone’s looking to see who “bells the Chavs”.
