Lucas Perez’s agent has told newsmen that a return to Deportivo La Coruña is close for Arsenal’s former number 9. The curse of this number though, for almost everyone that’s worn it, something went wrong.
Whether it’s injuries, poor form, or a bit of both, players who take that shirt for Arsenal just seem to end up doing badly, and many felt Perez had a lot of work to do to impress Wenger after only winding up as our fourth-choice striker –Mirror

Perez’s agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, told PA Sport:
“Deportivo made an offer a week ago. It is a permanent deal and worth more than Nolito’s move to Sevilla.
“Of course (he was told he would play more). Lucas signed for Arsenal and was the happiest person in the world and with all of his dreams to fulfil.
“Would you not be angry and sad and upset if you had your squad number taken without being asked?”
Alexandre Lacazette has taken Perez’s No 9 jersey following his arrival from Lyon.
