[dropcap color=”#dd3333″]N[/dropcap]obody seems to want to get our players off us; ordinary players on exorbitant wages it seems. The other day, it was Matthieu Debuchy to get the ‘thumbs down’ from Nice who decided to look elsewhere as maybe they just realised how injury prone he could be.
Now, it’s Wellington Silva’s turn.
And why Arsenal decided to trigger our buy-back clause, I don’t think I’ll ever understand.
Was it to make a quick buck or is that the lad suddenly showed otherworldly potential?
Sky Sports reports:
Wellington Silva’s proposed move to French club Bordeaux has fallen through following a medical.
The Brazilian winger, who has been playing in his homeland for Fluminense, looked set to return to European football having spent six years on Arsenal’s books.
But Ligue 1 side Bordeaux have now ended their interest in the 24-year-old.
We’ve still got Gibbo (sadly), Debuchy, Perez (even sadder), The Ox (who’s refused to sign) and Jack Wilshere. Le Boss says we’d be shipping off a lot of players this season but the problem seems to be: Who’ll buy them?
