Nerve wrecking to say the least; that was our match against Wigan in the FA Cup semis.
The famed giant killers of the championship didn’t go down without a fight; in fact, we missed being yet again beaten by the whiskers.
The first half was painful to watch. The players lacked bite, looked timid on the ball and never seemed to go forward. And after that first goal via a penalty, Wigan defended with all their might.
My arguments seem not to have fallen on deaf ears though. This team though not as star studded as we would have liked CAN (emphasis mine) win the EPL and the FA Cup, we just lack the confidence and fighting spirit. Many argue that we had injuries and such but, wasn’t this the same team that drew with the mighty Man-City at full strength? Didn’t we do that without Walcott, Ozil and Ramsey?
Stop all this nonsense! Making excuses for a team that needs leadership and heart; another Patrick Viera or Tony Adams to scream in the ears of team-mates to say “Fight on Gunners, Fight!”.
We were poor today no doubt, but have beaten, Liverpool, Everton & Spurs on way to final.Narrative is we have every right to walk out May 14

Genuinely can’t believe we’re in this position. I couldn’t give a monkeys that they beat Man City. We’re The Arsenal. It’s not good enough.

Now, don’t get me wrong, Per is doing an okay job with leadership(He and Fabianski won us that game), he showed that today, but, we are not an okay club. You might think we are, well, I do not. The bitter truth is that there’s something the others are doing that we are not; leave the transfer kitty argument alone. Everton now have more bite, you might say less injuries but they have even more meagre resources than we do. Fewer injuries maybe, but meagre resources nevertheless. Our team is strong enough, we stayed top of the league for a long time without Walcott for a while and sporadic performances from Ozil for some of his games. Our team is good enough.
Tweet This: Arsenal are good enough; they just need to want it bad enough
As Arsenal go into the finals, let’s remember that it’s not just about the talent available to us but it’s about the spirit and fight the talent available to us put in.
And let’s not stop supporting them. Supporting them with everything we’ve got.
