I know I may sound repetitive but, yes, I say it again, I plan to be a positive realist this season.
I failed to watch the Arsenal v Swansea match live because I wanted to be alive to watch future arsenal matches with family and friends. I only looked at the match after it had been played.
Now, if you’ll indulge me again, I also mentioned that it’s no use Gunners screaming for Wenger to leave because he’s not going anywhere till the Board says so. However, from the post-match interview and what I and other Gunners saw on our television screens, I think Arsene and us were watching two different games.
When asked about out defeat, he said…
It was a game where we were in control…
What? Arsene? Is that game we played in the first half what you call being in control? Common! The ball was lost many times, we hardly had a shot on goal, Gunners on twitter asked to be put out of their misery!

So Dear Uncle Arsene, we did not play the kind of football a team/club of our standing should. I beg you please not to make us another Liverpool, my heart wouldn’t be able to take it. No, it wouldn’t.
We can’t be depending on Alexis to bail us out everytime. What if he gets injured? Who’ll step up to the plate? Who’ll work their arse off tracking back and giving a 110% just to score that one goal? Who?!
Talent wins games; Alexis is talent. But team work aka everyone tracking back, defending like their lives depended on it and taking risks in the final third, that’s what wins championships.
We see a team like Swansea, Anderlecht, and Hull with less talent than we’ve got, but they’ve been able to withstand us because they’ve defended as a unit, played as a unit.
Imagine if we were able to do that, with all the talent at our disposal. Just for one moment, imagine that.
We meet Manchester United soon and I don’t even want to think about the end result if we don’t sort out ourselves quickly. Suicide.
Alexis doesn’t deserve this and so do the Gunners who pay huge ticket prices going to every game.
