Let’s do this, lads 👊 #WeAreTheArsenal
A post shared by Arsenal Official (@arsenal) on
Arsenal were undefeated in 13 games but there were talks about us having our streak because we kept facing the plebs of the Premier League. Our true mettle would be tested if we were to face any of the teams in the top 4. So, this game was THE game.
“Arsenal were under pressure because a lot of people were saying that on this run they hadn’t played anyone of any substance,” said former Arsenal striker Ian Wright on Match of the Day.
“They proved a lot of people wrong because they came out and had a real go at Liverpool and I thought they deserved something out of it.” – BBC
3 THINGS WE LEARNED
The First Half Was Arsenal’s Best Half So Far
I’ve never seen us take the game to a team the status of Liverpool (since Jürgen Klopp) in over 2 years. You could see the fire in the team, the runs, the passes, the chances! It was indeed one of the most exciting first halves I’ve witnessed in a long time as an Arsenal fan.
One of the passes and runs of note was Xhaka’s passed which Ozil allowed roll to an Aubameyang who had made the run. Unfortunately, the shot hit the side of the net.
We fought for e.v.e.r.y ball. And Torreira was a beast, end of.

Arsenal Can Challenge For The Title
With Unai, I think, no, I believe we can challenge for the Premier League title. A title that’s been elusive for years, a title many an Arsenal fan went to their graves hoping we’d win in their lifetime. It’s going to happen in mine I tell ya.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are the teams to beat this season. Having lost the last two already, the litmus test was our match against Liverpool. And in this match, the two teams gave it everything they had, making it one of the most entertaining matches of this season.
With this team and with this manager and with the right additions in defence (because that’s where we’re a bit dodgy), it will can happen.
[su_box title=”Ozil Goes Missing Against Liverpool and Match Review – 90min” style=”noise” box_color=”#ab1118″]According to 90min, Arsenal midfielder – Mesut Ozil – went missing in a big game yet again. He failed to replicate the magic he had against Leicester. 90min believe the midfielder needs to be consistent. Read the story here. [/su_box]
Unai Demands More, And We Like It
Emery declared himself only 50% happy with the performance because he wanted to win. Read the last sentence again:
He wanted to win.
I really love Wenger but I doubt he’d have said that. Whether the team draw or win, Emery seems to let them know that he’s been there before and it’s not enough. He wants the whole nine yards and then some. What a time to be alive.
