Hey People, it’s been a while and I have to say I missed you all and I am strongly moved to believe you missed me too* I see you smiling right now*.
In case you were wondering where I went, well I was away serving my country and bruh it wasn’t an easy task, well not as easy as I expected it to be.
Anyways I am glad to be back home.
I’ll save you all the boring tales and just get to it already.
As much as I would love this piece to be about me (I mean I have been away for a while now and as you can see I am back with a bang), it’s not.
It’s about our darling Arsenal.
A lot has gone down since I last spoke to y’all, defeats, injuries*boy have those been a whole lot*, draws, victories too.
Let’s not even forget November when we were a shambles and couldn’t win any game coupled with the injuries to key players (Cazorla, Coquelin
, Sanchez
).
We needed a win more than anyone else in the league, not just because we had to stay close to the summit but because we had to get those vital 3 points to restore confidence to the team.
At the end of the game against Sunderland, we were all smiles having scored all the goals in a 3-1 victory. We really got back in our groove yeah? I mean we scored the 4 goals.
Giroud was just too eager to get a goal that the bloke forgot where his post was and scored his first goal in our post, luckily for him tho he got one in the right post later on to put us at 2-1.
Injuries to Santi and Coq put Aaron Ramsey, who was just returning from injury back in the middle and he had his shift alongside Flamini.
We all know Aaron has not held back in letting us know how much he wants to be back in the middle of the pack and he sure did make a good case for himself, getting a goal and an assist in the process.
In the end, it was a much needed win not just for itself alone but for the games that lie ahead, most importantly the make or break game against Olympiakos in Greece.
We win with a 2 goal margin and we progress, we do anything other than that and Thursday night football is ours.
Big task ahead yh? Yes it is, but I believe the boys could do it and come Thursday morning we would be all smiles, hopefully.
No Sanchez, Santi, Coq, Wilshere and the other guys who are in the treatment room but then I strongly believe the guys that are available would give their all to ensure we are in the next round of the champions league.
In other news, Alexis was awarded the Football Supporters’ Federation Player of the Year 2015 ahead of Vardy, Aguero and Harry Kane, you can’t even argue that it wasn’t deserved.
Congrats Alexis.
That’s all I have for now.
Till Later.
Ciao.
