Why I am here writing this, I do not know.
After that Sunderland game, I looked at the boys and to be honest I had no expression on my face. You know that expressionless look.
It was like my feelings had been stolen, my face was flat.
I didn’t feel disappointed neither did I feel sad or betrayed I was just there.
Truth is I never even expected much from that game in the first place. For starters we all know how Sunderland unleash their inner Barcelona when it gets to this time of the season.
It’s almost as if the relegation battle makes them the players they aren’t and keeping that in mind I knew it was going to be a tough game but I didn’t know it would be as disappointing as that.
Looking at the stats, we controlled possession 70-30 as was expected and also had more shots on target, 8-4 but to what extent?
To what end is having 70% of the ball and 8 shots on target if you cannot look for a way to put the ball in the net.
I really pity Ozil, the man has tried his best doing what he knows how to do best but his work is being frustrated.
Oh look, he has set a new record for himself and in the league as a whole for most chances created in a season 137 and counting.
At least the man got something for himself. Oh there is that assist record also and he is two assists shy of breaking that Henry assist record. Look’s to me like he has too much respect for the Arsenal Legend and thus wants to keep his record intact.
Against Sunderland alone, he created 5 chances and like you already know, not one of them found the net. So much for not needing a world class striker*sigh*
Enough of the ranting though, more darkness prevailed at the stadium of light and I cannot even wait for the season to end.
Let’s restart, next time would even be more difficult but I choose not to think about that right now.
One thing to be happy about tho, Bellerin’s inclusion in the PFA team. Really happy for the young spaniard, better things to come Hector.
Not like it’s a surprising fact tho but we are still in fourth position. whoop whhop, no place like home innit?
Like a lot of you, i have already shut down for the season and the only things left for us to look forward to now would be finishing fourth and Ozil breaking that assist record wishing he is able to.
Before I close my laptop, it is only professional for me to congratulate MAhrez and Dele Alli on their PFA Player and PFA Young Player of the season awards respectively.
Good one guys.
Also there is a Jack Wilshere who got some game time yesterday, just in time to get that goal of the season yeah? Welcome back Jack!!!
For Arsenal, onto the next game maybe somehow we can put some light and oust this darkness looming over the entire squad.
Till Later.
