It was a game of wits and tactics, not a game of players.
Trust me, it was, this Arsenal v Chelsea game.
You see, the Chavs might look stronger on paper but a Sp*d team can give them trouble if they come tactically and mentally prepared. The thing is, the Arsenal team are way better than the Sp*d team are. Again, trust me on this.
So when our team lost to the Chavs, it wan’t because they had a better team by far, it was because we didn’t come in tactically or mentally prepared. And when you don’t turn up tactically or mentally then, today’s result is what you get in return.
This game is missing Ox, in whose place Ozil is playing, in whose place… FFS!!!

Ox in for Wilshire for me, and move Ozil centrally. — The Förward Öbserver (@LennyPetsPuppys) October 5, 2014
Your never going to see Ozil playing his best football down the left so why does Wenger continually put him there! So annoying

What’s painful is Mourinho puts Hazard in a position to make runs like that, whereas Wenger hides Ozil out wide to completely fade away.

Okay, that’s enough now…
First, we didn’t turn up tactically, at least, formation-wise. It’s not news that Ozil plays better centrally and many were expecting the Ox on the wings again today after his amazing runs against Gala. But that didn’t happen, goodness knows why.
As long as Arsene chins Mourinho I’d take a 1-0 defeat tbh. http://t.co/4vbZ6PkteR

As much as we liked this, it showed we weren’t mentally prepared as well. Wenger isn’t allowed to let mice like Jose affect the dealings of men.
Jose is a master of mind games, and for some reason, I think that ‘specialist in failure’ quote has gotten to the players and manager so much that they are on edge and decapitate when they meet Chelsea.
Another place we are on edge and decapitate much is at Old Trafford. Why? Well, Ferguson was a master of mind games as well and so stuff he has said still stay in the minds of the manager and players so much so that they give a sub-par performance when the teams meet.
We don’t necessarily decapitate against big teams – check Bayern, Barca and co., but where the managers have an upper hand in mind games, we do – Chelsea and Man-U.
My advice would be to re-group and, sort out ourselves mentally and tactically. And sort out our defensive problems in the January window.
