The internet has been rife with news about a certain defender at Old Trafford falling out with Mourinho. But then again, who hasn’t? And then Jack Wilshere – not sure whether it’s out of the lack of something to say – lets out his inner yob.

I remember when Manchester United purchased him amid much pomp and pageantry; £30m to be exact. And then Arsenal went and bought Shkodran Mustafi for possibly the most inflated price paid for a defender of his quality in that 2016 transfer window; I sat in a puddle of my tears.
That year (2016/17), Eric Bailly played one game less than Mustafi and according to overall stats played better than Mustafi. Bailly lost fewer tackles, made no errors leading to goals and had a better defensive score than our own Mustafi. You can argue that Mourinho generally sets up his team to park the bus, but stats are stats.
Now it seems half of the Man-United team and Bailly have fallen out with Mourinho and rumours are rife that Bailly wants out in January. Sp*ds are supposedly in for him and are as interested in him as the press claims we are.
My question is:
Would you take an Eric Bailly? Who would you place on the bench to make first team space for him?
In other news…
I do like you, Jack, really, I do. Especially as you represent a fan, who became a player like dear Charlie George.
But when you say things like this:

I begin to worry. Arnautovic is a good striker; there’s no doubt about that. But when you infer from your comment that he’s on the same level with:

Bruh. Just stop, stop.
We know you’re trying to make him look good and foster some team spirit but bruuuuuh!
Maybe Jack meant to say Arnautovic is up there with the likes of Adebayor, Eduardo, Theo Walcott…or, what do you think?
There’s news about AC Milan wanting Aaron Ramsey. We’ll find out the details and let you know soon.
