Quickly.
And that’s because I need to touch base with my sources on Twitter…ahem, on the authenticity of this news.
Sky Sports reports that Everton have moved their sights off Olivier Giroud to Danny Welbeck:
Ronald Koeman is looking at luring Danny Welbeck from North London to Goodison Park after Olivier Giroud made it clear he intends to stay and fight for his place at Arsenal, according to talkSPORT.
The former Man Utd striker would vie with new signings Sandro and Wayne Rooney for what would likely be a single centre forward berth in Koeman’s first-choice Everton line-up.
Welbeck scored Arsenal’s second goal as they edged Leicester City 4-3 in their Premier League opener on Friday night but has seen his place come under threat following the arrival of record signing Alexander Lacazette.
At this point, I’d prefer selling off Lucas Perez just because, I can’t imagine the dressing room without Welbz.
If there’s any truth in this report, who would you rather we sold?
