Good morning People.
I would love to start this up by wishing you all a happy new year, I think we haven’t said that to each other yet.
So, Happy New Year to everyone from me your favourite, Oreva.
Unto serious matters now tho.
The team began their title defence for a 3rd consecutive FA Cup title and we have to say it has started on the right path.
As we all expected, some of the players were going to get a rest against a Sunderland team that no one has really taken seriously this season.
Somehow, ‘the Prof’ surprised us all and gave rests to only Flamini, Monreal, Ozil and Per, seeing as Ramsey had to come on to save the day I won’t add his name to the rested list.
Everyone expected us to win that game and we sure did, but then the Arsenal package had to be complete.
So the team had to be shitty at first, concede a very stupid goal that could have been avoided 10 out of 10 times, miss some chances, lose possession and make you scream like a mad person before they finally got their rhythm back on.
Okay yes, Koscielny could have done a lot better with that ball but then Gibbs could have just cleared instead too.
Anyways, who cares about that now, we have won.
It took goals from Campbell, Giroud and Ramsey to win us that game. Same trio that scored when we faced Sunderland in the league earlier this season and same scoreline.
That there is what I call consistency people.
Two different games, same opposition, same scoreline, same goal scorers from us.
Consistency is key.
As much as I would love to talk about the fact that we played Chamberlain and Callum
shambles Chambers in midfield, I’ll just let it slide seeing as we have won the game already.
Note that we had to bring in Ramsey and our long lost captain, Arteta to save the day.
In the end, we didn’t miss Ozil too much as Bellerin took his place comfortably, grabbing two assists in the process.
Major positives from the game had to be seeing how well of a shift Iwobi put in even tho he wore short socks, the team winning and progressing and the best of them all was Jeff Reine Adelaide finally getting some game time.
It was really good to see the lad getting a shot at showing what he is made of, from the few minutes he played, he sure did give a good account of himself even getting close to scoring at one time.
The draws for the 4th round happen tomorrow and we can only wait to see who we get.
Till then, Y’all keep bleeding red, not like you have much of a choice tho, blood is red, always.
Do have a WOW day people.
