We ground out a win.
I’ll take this win without complaining but the team’s not where they’re supposed to be. There’s much work to be done.
STAND OUT PLAYERS
Calum Chambers
I think he did a pretty good job in central defence and stopped the balls and passes he was supposed to. The lad looked tidy on the ball; rest assured Arsenal have a successor for Per Mert. in defence.
Kosielny Laurent
He redeemed himself by scoring the goal that got us level with Crystal Palace and apart from the mistake on defending the CRY set piece, he was good today.
Sanchez Alexis
He seemed a bit ineffective on the right wing but seemed to run CRY ragged when he moved to the left. Seems he got a freer role and I believe we’ve not even scratched the surface of what Sanchez is capable of. He got an assist today and Lord knows what he’ll churn out when Walcott comes back on.
THESE GUYS NEED WORK
Yaya Sanogo
Largely ineffective today. Slow and indecisive when he had the ball, he was also sloppy in his hold-up. However, I expect that with time and more games, he’ll definitely improve.
Gibbs
Gibbs didn’t play badly, however, I’m sending out a personal plea to him – Dude! Don’t be getting injured now! We needz you! I hope the injury’s something he can bounce back out of in a few days.
I think Sanchez should play upfront next time or should he be given a free role since he can play anywhere upfront? What do you think?
