Well well, look what we have here.
Remember how this week looked ultimately bright and happy all through Monday?
You can’t?
Well neither can I. Once again we are let a little insight as to what a full on attack by a dementor can do to the rest of our life albeit it’s only attacked our love for football.
I was livid on Tuesday night. Watching Arsenal’s disjointed performance had me screaming curses at my TV. Every misplaced pass was met with a –
“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU??” “THUNDER FIRE YOU!” “BA*T!RD!” “IDIOT”.
One player in particular made me want to drag my hair out and if you follow me on twitter, you’ll have a good idea who that was.
Now I am not proud of my actions but I think as long as it wasn’t heard by the players then I could carry on, because bottling up that kind of frustration would have led me to unleashing it on someone who didn’t deserve it.
A huge amount of respect for people who go to games and have to sing their support to the team even when they are playing like a team in the second division. And for the rest of the fans that are somewhat like me, I strongly plead that you give up your season ticket and use the money to buy a 50” TV at home so you can do what your brain is wired to do without affecting the moral of the squad.
That being said, while I’m a raging maniac throughout the duration of matches, I am much more calm and rational when the moments of heightened emotions have passed. I have seen many beginning to lose their calm, questioning every decision, going into meltdowns etc.
I remember in my first blog; Wenger the Great Chef, I did say that all that was required was one bad performance and we will see people shedding off the false skins and revelling in slithering hides. There has never been a better combination to bring out the worst of the Arsenal folk than a bad performance + an uneventful week in the transfer window.
Am I worried?
A little bit.
Should I lose my shit?
NO!
It helps no one when people start panicking and saying things that will otherwise benefit no one. Because then you’ll most probably be left with another piece of humble pie slapped across your face.
I appeal to everyone to stay calm and watch how things pan out. If you can’t handle the un-eventfulness (not a word, I know) of our transfer window then I suggest you do what I do, stay away from it until a Patronus comes along to drive the Dementor away.
PS. I don’t believe we are signing a defensive midfielder. I sense Arsene is going to sign another CB, then move Chambers to the DM position and our transfer window will end. A striker may happen but at this point, I highly doubt it. All that being said, I hope my predictions aren’t all correct. I’d consider loaning my Play Station 3 console to get a striker who is better than Giroud.
Have a nice day folks.
