There are no obstacles in life you can’t get over. Been a difficult couple of days but I’m positive and ready to take whatever challenge comes my way. Thank you so much for the love and messages, you are incredible ❤ pic.twitter.com/onwrMvIKui
— Héctor Bellerín (@HectorBellerin) January 22, 2019
Hector Bellerin is thankfully putting up a positive attitude to his current situation. The Arsenal wing-back got stretchered off the field in the game against Chelsea. Up until he had the cruciate ligament rupture happen in the run of play, he played admirably and gave Chelsea something to worry about.
The right wing-back only just came back from injury and was thoroughly disappointed to be injured again. And so were the fans.
The Badalonian (that’s in Spain, people) born right-back joined Arsenal in 2014. So far this season, Hector Bellerin has played 19 games and scored 5 times to Arsenal. His value according to Trasfermrkt is pegged at £36m. We definitely have to make sure he stays or we sell; we can’t allow another top player run down their contract.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Lichsteiner seem obvious replacements for Bellerin now that he’s injured. The worry, however, is that Maitland-Niles though pretty quick on his feet is not as fast or defensive minded as Bellerin is. He also lacks the experience. Stephan Lichsteiner, on the other hand, is much slower and sometimes make silly passes but has experience on his side.

The manager – Unai Emery – is backing Hector to come back stronger:
[su_quote cite=”Unai Emery – Arsenal.com” url=”https://www.arsenal.com/news/bellerin-mature-and-can-come-back-stronger”]Yes, we were sad and we are sad now after his injury,” Emery said. “I think this year is very difficult for big injuries like Hector, Rob Holding and Welbeck. “But football is like that. We need to treat these injuries like a normality in football, but we are very sad for that.[/su_quote]
“Hector Bellerin is very mature and I think he received this injury like a football professional can take and he is already preparing to come back stronger than before.”
We wish Hector Bellerin a speedy recovery and pray that he’ll be back, better and stronger.
