It’s Tuesday Morning and barely 38 hours till the transfer window shuts.
Like every other football fan in the world, I woke up this morning and opened all the tabloids I could find to get the latest transfer news and most importantly, to see if Perez and Mustafi have been unveiled or made official. Of course I was sad to see that they haven’t and there was still reports like “Perez flies in”, “Perez spotted at Heathrow airport”, “Mustafi talks about how Ozil influenced his decision” and all that but one thing caught my eyes, Arsenal are looking to loan Jack WIlshere out.
Woooow, what a shock!!!
When I saw ”Arsenal are considering loan offers for Jack Wilshere in a bid to reinvigorate his stalling career.” , all I could say was wooow, where has this come from?
Big Sam had just released his first squad as English manager and Wilshere missing out was one of the biggest news. Well, I didn’t expect him to make the team though seeing as he has only had a shot at cameo appearances this season and now this, a loan move, out of nowhere. I thought the media must be up to something, must be trying to deflect our attention from the fact our new signings hadn’t been made official yet and that it might all just be a dream but after checking all the places I know always have legit information, I can see that this loan deal carries some water.
Okay here is the issue now, should Wilshere be loaned out or stay and fight for his shirt?
For me, this loan deal seems like the best thing that can happen to him right now. Wilshere would readily walk into the starting line up at Arsenal when fit but for obvious reasons, that has not been the case this season,he has played only 37 minutes this season in two substitute appearances after missing most of last season with a broken leg.
The Arsenal midfield is choked and remove Ozil’s sure spot, we have WIlshere, Cazorla, Ramsey (who is currently injured), Coquelin, Elneny and Xhaka all fighting for the remaining two slots. Even Wilshere himself would have accepted the fact that he is down the pecking order.
A loan move won’t hurt him too much at this stage. Jack is just 24 and truth is this loan move might be all he needs to get his career back on track again, if he waits till he gets his shirt back that Arsenal, that might be too long. At just 24, he still has years ahead of him and this is the perfect push his career needs.
Now this Wilshere loan move is causing divide among the Arsenal faithfuls, for some we are in all the competitions right now and would need all the hands we can get to ensure we mount a worthy challenge on all the competitions we are in. For others, he should go out on loan seeing as that’s the best option for him right now.
Like I said above, a loan move can’t hurt him too much. Yes we need all the hands we can get and all but then, how many games do you think Wilshere will start this season? How many times will he get subbed off after 45 minutes? Are you saying you want him to stay because it’s best for him or because it’s best for Arsenal?
All these and many more must have been put into consideration before they thought of loaning him out, that’s if the loan move happens though. Best believe, Wenger and Wilshere would sit down and talk about all the possibilities before a final decision is made.
Announcing his first England squad, Allardyce made clear the reason he had not selected Wilshere, saying: ‘As for Jack, he just hasn’t had enough game time. Hopefully he will get that in the future at Arsenal.’
Also you should know that defender Calum Chambers is joining Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.
We at MisterSpruce wish Chambers good luck on his loan spell and wish Wilshere gets a good club where he could get quality playing time, that’s if he ends of leaving.
Good Luck guys.
