Jean-Claude Duvalier…
You know who that guy was? Well, he was one of the most famous despots/dictators/tyrants of all time.
He came to power in Haiti when he was 19 years old, had a $2m wedding while his people lived in squalor. He siphoned government funds, dealt in narcotics and sold the dead bodies of Haitians to foreign medical schools…Uurgh! What a man!
So, what am I trying to get at?
Well, Sepp Blatter.
Pretty interesting news rounds we have today.

FIFA became the despot that was Sepp Blatter even traditionally despotic African countries which are often inundated with corruption became somewhat exasperated with the impunity that became Sepp Blatter that became FIFA; you get what I mean, heh?
What now with his resignation, FIFA, hopefully will restore itself to the organization it once was – doing what it does for the love of the game and not money. We can’t totally rid the institution of corruption, nay, I even sometimes hear my English mates complain about the ‘bent’ leanings of the FA; however, it can indeed become a better institution.
On to other news, Manchester City look to destroy the rumours linking us to Isco according to Mirror. The player with the hefty price tag – £32m – slapped on him is seen as the long term replacement for David Silva. We wouldn’t mind Isco at the Emirates only that we know that we’d have to see either Carzola, Wilshere or the Ox go out the door and Lord Arsene Wenger doesn’t look like he’s ready to sell any of these.
And Daily Star reports that Diego Costa has said he isn’t homesick and he’s staying put at Stamford Bridge. Not that we’re bothered but Diego Costa seems to me like a firecracker that fizzled out. I sold him half way through the season on Fantasy football and stuck with Harry Kane instead…I know, but the Sp*d was scoring mate!
The Pressreader reports that McClaren’s the next Newcastle manager. My advice to the manager hopeful? Don’t take the job, it’s a sinking ship bae.
They say ‘what goes around, comes around’ and Daily Star says Citeh’s being done in as Barca hijack their bid for Pogba…hehehe
Enjoy the rest of what’s left of today folks.
