There’s been not much news in the Gunnersphere today and frankly, doing a rehash of news you already know won’t cut it; so I thought, why not look at one of the outstanding players of our campaign – Joel Campbell.
Joel Campbell is a bit like Francis Coquelin who were determined to make it despite the odds. Yaya Sanogo can take a leaf from their diaries of hard knocks. Joel shone like a million stars for Costa-Rica at the 2014 World Cup but all that seemed to fall flat on its face when he showed up at Arsenal after his loan spell.
Wenger especially didn’t come across as impressed (this is my opinion because some coaches would have thrown the star player of his country straight into the 1st team) but, Joel was patient as it’s paid off for him.
Let’s take a look at his stats and a video of his style of play. Appreciate that we’ve got a pretty solid winger Gunners.
