Our last meeting with the Swans saw them hold us to a draw. We had more possession and shots on goal as usual but again as usual, we failed to convert.
It is my prayer that that doesn’t happen again. And then there’s our defense I’m worried about. It’s shaky, it’s brittle and everything in-between; we need help, and fast, come January.
And some more sour news, we haven’t beaten Swansea at the Emirates since 2011; I’m also hoping that changes when we meet on Sunday.
Players to watch out for:
Swansea have Wilfred Bony who has been pretty good in the two seasons since he arrived and although we have Sanchez, we’ll need to defend as a team if we’re to stop his onslaughts.
Last time Out:
Swansea drew with Everton and didn’t have much possession, however, they stood their ground and got a draw out of that match. They didn’t have much shots on target either but you know how the story goes. We get all the possession, get all the shots, none converts and then on the counter, the opponents score with their only shot on goal. Bergkamp forbid that happens!
Last time Arsenal went out, we met a resilient Burnley defense however, our defense was not tested as it will be on Sunday so we need to sort that that end of our game out.
Again I say, all players and I mean all Arsenal players need to be defensively alert.
