First, Isaac Hayden’s off to the North; the lad’s off to Newcastle, hope he does well there. Here’s wishing him all the best.
Now, to other news.
Apparently, Wenger isn’t in for Lacazette, or so his boss says:
I saw Arsene a lot during France’s matches and he didn’t talk to me about it,” said Aulas.
So I don’t think that there is something, and it seems to me that Alex wants to spend this season with Lyon in the new stadium.
He wants to experience an adventure in the Champions League that could prove to be much better than last season.
I think he’s going to stay with us and we’re very happy about that.
Also, Marca, a Spanish newspaper says:
Los Blancos rejected a 60 million euro offer from Chelsea on Saturday, and with club president Florentino Perez reportedly eager to see more youth in the side, the 23-year-old will stay at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
With Chelsea, Arsenal and a number of other clubs hovering, Real Madrid initially valued Morata at 75m euros, but instead the Madrid native will challenge Karim Benzema for playing time at the top of Los Blancos’ vaunted attack.
So what’s going to happen to our striker quest now? Seems like de javu all over again – we’re in for a player and the deal falls flat on it’s face. Who does our negotiations by the way? Friar or Wenger?
The closing of the transfer window is still a long way off but I’d rather we did our business early, like we did for Granit.
