I remember saying Everton were one of the best teams we’ve met; I meant it. But, yesterday, at Napoli, we faced a different team. I also remember telling @Funnygooner when he asked my thoughts before yesterday’s game that, we would be held to a draw; I said this because I felt our boys were tired and we were going to meet a Napoli team who would be giving it everything.
@FunnyGooner I see another draw…dunno why I think Naps are gonna give it everything they’ve got.

The draw didn’t happen. Instead, a trouncing.
And shambolic refereeing.
Mikel Arteta was booked twice for ‘sketchy’ fouls while Behrami was prancing about the field committing obvious fouls and getting away with it. I think referees should take re-evaluation exams every 6 months and if they already do, make it every 3 months.
Higuain showed why he’s a pretty good striker and Callejon… well, you know the rest.
We face an in-form Man-City side who came back from two goals behind to beat the reigning champions of the CL. They have a better strike-force than we do and they’ll use it. We have a better midfield and defence, we need to step up and use those to our advantage.
I would play Walcott and Rosicky ahead of Carzola and Wilshere if I were Wenger; I’d also use Flamini and Ramsey, resting Arteta especially since Man-City have pacey players and he’s a bit slow.
The next round in the Champions League isn’t going to be easy either, we face either Bayern, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Barcelona or PSG; none of these are teams to be taken lightly.
I believe if we step up our game physically and mentally, we can put in an excellent performance this campaign.
What do you think our chances are?
