In this world where we live in, there is a popular saying that I assume we all know and it goes thus ‘experience is the best teacher’.
Some might argue that is not always the case but most times, it comes out true.
Arsenal are one club who look to have surely taken lessons and learnt a lot from their past.
You wonder where I am going with this????
Just keep reading then……..
Recent reports coming out of the Emirates have today told us that Arsenal are in the pipe to offer Alexis Sanchez a new deal to make him our highest paid player.
If this were to be true, infact it has to be true.
Sanchez has arguably been our best player since he joined and is only behind current highest paid player, Mesut Ozil who earns 140,000/week by 10,000 pounds.
Plans are at an early stage but the Gunners want to secure the future of the Chilean, who is arguably our most potent attacking player.
With the new contract being planned, Sanchez can expect to surpass Ozil if those contract negotiations become successful.
Arsenal though, are also planning to open discussions over a new deal with Ozil, who himself is likely to net a pay rise.
I wonder who would now be the highest paid by the time both players have signed new deals.
Arsenal are keen to prevent their top players from entering the final two years of their current contracts.
Ozil and Sanchez both see their current deals expire in 2018.
By the turn of the year in January, they would both have two years left on their current deals.
Our most recent experience has to be RVP, we let his contract reach a year and then had no choice but to sell him to ManUre.
We all know how that turned out for us.
Arsenal are surely doing everything to ensure our two best players are kept at the Emirates for a longer period of time.
In like manner as Sanchez and Ozil, left back Nacho Monreal is also said to have agreed a new three-year contract, joining Walcott who signed his fresh deal earlier in the season.
And yes, our captain too might be getting a new deal.
Look at you trying to wonder which of our captains am talking about, the real one jare, Mikel Arteta.
In his case tho, the club are going to wait till later in the season to see if he deserves a new deal at the club.
His current deal expires in the summer and we all know the club would most likely make a decision on his case before then.
That is all I have from the contract room today.
Till later…..
