Oh Jack, not you again??!!!!
That had to be the reaction on Wenger’s face when he saw the Wilshere news.
Just when you thought all was going well, after the injuries and all, when we thought it was gonna be a happy ending, Jack had to look for a way to spoil it all.
You might say it’s all just allegations, innocent until proven guilty yeah?
I agree with you on that but the fact that he was there alone speaks a lot, in fact, it speaks too much.
It’s no news that Wilshere has had a history of disciplinary issues since his first surge into the senior team and this latest one won’t do him any good.
When you have been out all season and are getting prepared to make that anticipated come back, trying to book your place in the England squad for the Euros, you should know that bad PR is not the best way to market yourself.
Wenger is a manager who places so much importance in trust and care. He really does care for his players — they are like sons to him. That’s why this will hurt. He has allowed Jack a certain level of trust but that is being stretched to the limit again.
That apart, he seems to have violated the Gaffer’s fitness philosophy pertaining to alcohol. I wonder how the manager would react to this little issue.
We all know Wilshere is a very good player, one we’ll like to see in the papers every week but not for the bad reasons, not for reasons like this.
Wenger could have done without this but I don’t think it will have too big an effect in terms of Jack’s selection.
There was that shisha issue, the smoking in the LAs Vegas swimming pool episode, the one about the cigarette outside a night club, arrest for assault, the list is endless mehn.
Be careful Jack, we love you and can cope with all the injuries but please don’t test the manager’s patience too much with all these your doings.
