Meltdowns left, uber opinions right, ‘know it alls centre’. Is there any room for people like me who refuse to have a panic? Is there any room for people like me who are more intrigued to see how it all unfolds, rather than worry?
Is there anything wrong with letting the manager be the manager, letting him fix his ‘mistakes’?
It’s is a good day today and I am besides myself with the amount of people who have decided to let the problems of our beloved Arsenal worry them deeply. Furthermore, I wish I could say I was shocked by the number of people who – after past errors in judgments – keep offering up their opinions as deeply researched facts and insights.
All of a sudden it is all dark and gloomy in Goonerdom, the skies are a dark grey and thunder rumbles behind them, threatening to strike at any moment, and this uncertainty seems to be getting to us, it seems to strip us of our sanity because we are letting it do so.
Going by most evaluations, we didn’t just perform against the current champions. It is now fashionable to have an opinion about every player, it is fancy to think and be ‘bold’ enough to say that Ozil didn’t and isn’t performing well. It is tactical to say that Wenger is wrong for playing Ozil on the ‘left’ (of which his heat map shows otherwise).
I ask this question, how do you know to get the best out of Ozil? Have you been in management before? Furthermore, why even complain about Ozil’s – perceived bad – individual performance if our attacking game for the first time this season really looked threatening?
Do I think Ozil has been magnificent? No.
Do I know how to get the best out of him? HELL NO, all I can offer are opinions which don’t count for squat as I have no managerial pedigree.
We went into the season with a squad most of us felt was inadequate; fair point. But what then can you do about it? It is done. What is done is done.
DONE!
Moaning about it every time something unfavourable happens will NOT fix the problem, it instead makes you look a right prat. Reminding us all that we are light in defence, what exactly is the point of it?
The simple point I am trying to make here is this, opinions are opinions, NOTHING MORE! What has happened has happened, we can not change it no matter how many times we tweet it, we can’t change it no matter how many times we cuss out a player or the manager, we can’t change it no matter how many times worry. Arsene is paid to worry, so why choose to take on his job for free?
This is the situation (we have defensive issues, Ozil is off form according to some of you, our dms are useless etc.), there is nothing we can do or say to change what the situation is, the ONLY thing we can all do is wait for the next game, hope the man who is paid to handle the team has found solutions to the problems (most believe are his fault in the first place), watch the game, enjoy it, support the team, moan afterwards if the result isn’t to our liking and move on. Over analysing changes nothing.
Opinions are opinions.
