Before I even start writing anything, I would like to use this medium to wish an Arsenal Legend a happy birthday. Happy birthday Theirry Henry.
You could send him goodwill messages on twitter at @TheirryHenry
Good mood for him to celebrate today I believe, following the teams win yesterday.
Speaking about that, as much as we are all glad with the 3 points which we secured we still cannot deny the fact that the team still looked short.
A much better and improved performance from the West ham game. By the way, watching West Ham this weekend and boy, we were really sh*t to have lost to them 2-0, good news in our boy Jenko got a chance to show his versatility as he was made to play in goal when Adrian got sent off.
He sure did look good in the few minutes he spent there and I think he even played a better goal kick than Adrian.lolJ
Anyways, back to the team. Alexis Sanchez was back in the starting line-up and the Chilean sure didn’t take time to get into the thick of the action, causing loads of trouble for the Palace defence throughout the time when he was on the pitch.
Ozil looked way better and was awesome all game long, Santi flourished like a fish in water as he was deployed back in the midfield role, Ramsey was once again deployed to the flanks and as we could see he had troubles impressing.
One wonders if he is just having a poor spell or he just aint feeling that wide role, shouldn’t he just work on improving there ‘For the team?
As much as we know and he has also spoken about it every time he gets the chance, Rambo doesn’t like playing on the flank but I believe the quicker he gets used to the fact that Wenger would not be breaking the Coq-Santi partnership anytime soon, the faster he adapts to playing on the flanks.
Cech looked good, a better showing than in his debut game but judging by what he said when he came ‘’I am here to keep clean sheets’’, he sure is still far away from that achievement.
Saw a good suggestion on twitter yesterday for Cech and it simply read ‘’Cech should get used to playing in front of four defenders, the era of 10 defenders is gone’’.
Good point IMO and I strongly believe that once he gets used to our defence, the clean sheets would start rolling in.
Lets not even forget that wonderful goal by Giroud which should be making the headlines but for Chelsea’s thumping by City. My hat was off for Olivier tho ‘cos that goal required some great technique to execute and he pulled it off.
As we prepare for our next game against Liverpool, I stand with Per who said ‘’There’s a lot more to come from us’’.
That’s all I have for now. Am out
Ciao.
