Hello there, hope everyone is good?
Completely stating the obvious, it’s official, this International break Sucks!!! I mean there’s absolutely no justification for this inhumane act of torment, none! Haven’t we had enough of National team football matches during summer? I mean why fix one at the expense of our darling EPL? at the expense of my darling Arsenal?
Why not fix it some other time, some other time that won’t deprive us our deserved weekend enjoyment. Don’t these people know that the EPL is one of the few respites from this cruel World? FIFA or whoever fixes these dates deserves some sense slapped into them.
Come to think of it sef (Nigerian colloquialisms), no one cares about these internationals. I don’t, don’t think you do either. Who went batshit mental when Nigeria lost at home to Congo last night, no one. That alone speaks volumes of how much shite we can’t give about internationals.
Most importantly, The weekend is nothing without our “Arsenal Match day Sequence”. No, you can’t find that on Google. I’ll help in breaking it down.
The Arsenal Match day Sequence is a term I use for all the activities that take place on a typical Arsenal match day. From the Anticipation of the match to team-news rumors, live match tweets and the subsequent hysteria.
Now imagine that Weekend, no Arsenal match, No Ramsey goal, no Ozil pre-match prayers, no Giroud kneeling on the ground with his face on his hands after another fluffed chance, no Flamini yellow card, no 75th minute sub. A weekend when no one’s blaming Wenger for not bringing Campbell on in place of Sanogo earlier, when no one’s hailing Wenger’s decision to start Welbz as the lone striker (like he did in a dream I had recently).
There’s even no Michael Owen or Jamie Redknapp(??) talking absolute bollocks! No sequel of Me and Cesc love story and why I think it’s borderline madness to pass up the chance to sign him.
Imagine this weekend.
It’s annoying, really.
I’m done with my mini rant, it probably won’t help things but I certainly feel better. 😉
