They say there is no place like home and when Mr Roger East blew the final whistle yesterday, I couldn’t help but feel that feeling of home.
We were back where we belonged, our birthright, fourth place.
Arsenal really ought to have been clear. Well clear. Out of sight, in fact, by the time Yannick Bolasie grabbed a late equaliser we should have been 4 goals up or more.
The briefest notion of a rekindled title bid after Leicester dropped points was soon written off after we failed to break down a well structured team, yet again.
Too frequently we are unable to kill off games when in complete control and they are always likely to concede. These frailties are enhanced during the tense and rarefied closing stages of the campaign and self-doubt creeps in.
Truth is I am tired of throwing blames ‘cos in truth there would be enough to go around, should I start with Bellerin whose crosses were almost always not delivering throughout the game or Wenger who failed to make subs that had any impact on the game or Walcott or Ozil or even Cech.
Like I said, there is enough blame to go around but I won’t even dwell on that right now, simply because I’ve grown weary of ranting and complaining about Arsenal related matters.
I sincerely thought we were going to lose the game at some point but we ended up getting a point in a game that we should have wrapped up from the first half.
Possession after Possession but no precision, how long till we had our first shot on target?
I can’t even feel too bad for Ozil, man created 8 chances and not one was an assist, not one led to a goal.
How much does he have to do to get a reaction from his team mates? I really don’t know.
At least Sanchez scored a goal and he really tried to score even more. Good showing from the lad tho
Sadly his goal was not enough to see us win the game. Adebayor came on and amidst all the boos, he still managed to provide an assist for the Bolasie goal.
Full time, ended 1-1.
Anyways we are back home, 4th place is home baby.
It’s seems to me like we are not come-4th-able in any other position, till we get into that our 4th position, our birthright.
We were top of the league one time and now 4th place.
Cliche stuff. Nothing surprising about the whole scenerio.
Oh well, we can as well just start supporting Leicester right now cos I believe we all don’t won’t Spuds to win the league.
So the era of implosion united, bottlers fc is over. It’s the dawn of the 4th place Fc, Come -4th-able United, the Fantastic fourth.
Do have a wow week people.
Am out.
