Yes. I. Know.
I wouldn’t put that on replay myself.
That video may not have been a true representation of Robin van Persie being a slime ball, but it hovers around that.
Word has it that Robin van Persie could return to OUR club. *OUR was very well written with the intent of showing ownership*
It is an accepted notion that once a player is in his football grey days a la 29-30 years old, he seeks for a better contract to, kind of, secure his after football future. Very few are lucky to end up a football club-owning David Beckham or an in-demand pundit like Thierry Henry.
However, there are better ways of going about leaving a club which we all know Robin didn’t handle right.
First, he tried to hoodwink the fans through the letter on his website, absolving himself of all blame and shifting it on Wenger and the management. This is not to say that Wenger and the management were on their A-game, we’ve seen Wenger dither a lot on some signings we could have closed – Suarez, M’villa, Llorente, Higuain…- but still, coming out like you asked for something really simple and you were denied it is, well…I’m short of words at this point.
Second, prior to last month, I thought Wenger was at fault for selling him to Manchester United however, I was wrong. Patrick Viera, I am told said in passing that Van Persie did not want to leave England and so rejected Juventus’ bid. And with Manchester City and Manchester United in for him, he chose the latter.
Third, do you remember that skit on Total sport about how he dumped our offer in the bin? Okay, it might have been exaggerated but really? Really?! And then the way he celebrated in front of our fans, really bro.?
Now, Wenger wants him back. Or so they say.
We hear, according to Fanatix that Van Persie’s agent wants £29m for him. Please, what is he smoking? Is he glazed or something?
Look :
1. Van Persie’s 30 and STILL injury prone. We can’t be getting another Kallstrom please.
2. Van Persie has disrespected the management, the manager, the club and the fans right from that letter he posted on his website. He should take a leaf from Juan Mata’s book. Be polite, tell us you want to move on like a man and stop blaming the little boy.
3. Van Persie will never be the Van Persie he was with us, he’ not going to give us 37 goals, ever! he’s past that.
4. Although I’ve heard from some football pundits that in life, there are no permanent enemies or friends, only permanent interests, I still think any Gunner with pride wouldn’t want him in our red and white shirt.
@MisterSpruce1 I understand that, as football has very short memories, however, Arsenal do have long memories in this regard and so do I!

And finally, that goal celebration was the last nail on the casket for me, although some think otherwise in this video here.
