Arsenal Midfielder Tomas Rosicky has hit out at our manager Arsene Wenger for the way he’s handled his situation at the club over the past season and has expressed his current situation at the team as ‘not being funny’.
The Czech playmaker was more often than not consigned to the bench for most of the season, at times, failing to even make the squad on match day.
The 34-year-old admitted he was contemplating leaving the team in January but had his frustrations alleviated after being given a run in the side.
Since then Arsenal activated their option to extend his contract to the end of the 2015/2016 season and it has to be said that he has found appearances even harder to get after that contract extension.
‘’Since the moment Arsene Wenger used the option in my contract, I haven’t been on the bench,’’ he told reporters.
‘’I am laughing but it’s not funny.
‘’It’s frustrating but I am a professional. Even if you lose your place, you must still be prepared because the situation can change.
‘’I’ll start the summer preparations with Arsenal and that’s the whole plan for the time being.’’
Rozza’s former side Sparta Prague were reportedly keen on bringing the midfield maestro back this summer if his contract were left to expire at the Emirates but sha sorry for them, it was extended. He’s staying*tongue out*
Rosicky is heading into his tenth season with Arsenal having won two FA Cups and a Community Shield and heaven know I hope he stays longer till he can kick a ball no more maybe.
I for one hopes he gets more game time in the team next season even if it’s for cup games or the champions’ league ‘cos mehn, when he plays he sure doesn’t look his age plus who doesn’t like Rosicky the little Mozart…….
Am out..
