Gunners, please be calm, it’s all still ITKs. You know how the gist goes – “I’ve got this mate who knows this guy, who’s brother’s sister is Benzema’s cousin’s classmate’s boyfriend…”
Rodney Marsh’s the one who has been supposedly spilling the beans:
“I had a phone call from a mate of mine, and he’s been right on many things, and he said that he believes Real Madrid have accepted a bid somewhere in the region of £48million for Benzema from Arsenal.
“In the past this guy has always been right, he’s never been wrong yet, so we’ll have to wait and see.”
As much as I want Benzema at the Arsenal, I wouldn’t want to get my hopes up only to have them dashed, crushed, obliterated…you get what I mean now, don’t you?
Right from the beginning, I was all for a defensive midfielder and then, possibly a striker plus any other player we wanted to buy.
That’s my ideal team right there.
…and yes, I know I put Petr Cech on the bench. And Wilshere and Rambo and Debuchy don’t feature. Whatever. No one’s place is cemented guys.
Otamendi in defence with Koscielny or Gabriel? Beast mode.
Morgan Schneiderlin/Coquelin in defensive mid with a creative Carzola from deep and Ozil in number 10? Orgasmic.
Sanchez and Theo on both wings cutting in and slapping in goals with a sure finisher in Benzema upfront? Cherry on top Gunners, cherry on top.
But let’s wait and see. We missed Morgan Schneiderlin, Otamendi’s been bought, let’s hope we can at least, close up Benzema.
