Hello everyone! It’s one of those days that I’m feeling really drowsy the office and can’t seem to get any proper work done. So, forgive me in advance if this article struggles to make sense; help me Lord.
In the team of the week, Courtois did a De Gea on Sunderland as he kept a clean sheet in that game, therefore, he features as the goalkeeper of the week.
In defense, Glen Johnson features as he scored the only goal in Liverpool’s game against Stoke; makes you wonder about Liverpool’s midfield and attacking options. Smalling popped up on radar again this time against Hull City. He scored one and kept a clean sheet for United.
For some odd reason, Wes Brown feature in this week’s top team. He helped Sunderland to a clean sheet against the Chavs. Gael Clichy scored his first for Manchester City and kept a clean sheet while at it, so he makes the list as well.
In midfield, Juan Mata featured prominently in Man-United’s 3-0 trumping of Hull, along comes Lampard who was on target for Manchester City in their game against Southampton, the man’s still got it methinks. Kevin Mirallas scored a fantastic 20 yarder for Everton.
Ericksen scored for the lot down the road.
Our very own Welbeck features in the team of the week for forwards. His header was on target against Westbrom and that got us the three points we so desperately needed.
Then there’s this other guy that scored for Man-U, we don’t want to say his name; it brings back bad memories.
