I mean seriously, did I hear someone say something? Well, as I was perusing thorough the leaflets of my digital newspaper, I stumbled upon this interesting piece of news.

Mathieu Flamini, quite a workhorse but predominantly a utility player, ably held our defensive mid-field together after Gilberto Silva left. He had quite a wonderful connection with Rocisky, Hleb and the then young and upcoming Fabregas…[It beats you how many good players we’ve lost aye!]

Should he come back?

Well, I asked myself the same question before sitting down, with me cup of tea in me ‘and to write this piece. Sometimes, I want to shout- “Aye! The lad’s a traitor; left us for the big money!”

Okay, on a more serious note, although we need the experience, I don’t think Flamini will be the same as when he left us. Injuries and age might have taken their toll on the poor lad. However, I might be wrong, see the magic Pirlo still pulls at out of his hat.

I also believe characters are consistent, if he left us before, he’ll leave us again if and when his form picks up and he’s offered big money again. We should instead focus our attention on targets like M’Vila, who suck up to us and are practically begging to play for us, and Bob’s your Uncle!

I wouldn’t really consider Ben Arfa a fantastic buy. He’s injury prone and you can count how many seasons he’s been consistent on one hand.

If the rumours are true, then I think we wouldn’t get value for money. It probably would go the way of Andy Carrol and we’d we’d be giving Newcastle money to go on a shopping spree; my two cents.

We need defenders, period.

Van Persie does need some back up. Wenger should like Manchester City does, have at least 3-4 lethal strikers on ground some we don’t go fretting when ‘Ol boy VP gets injured. I think however, that Wenger should shed some load off the wage list. Sell off a bunch of mid-fielders that we don’t use; keeping Vela.

I believe he does have potential and the more he goes out on loan. the better and more experienced he becomes for us. I see him in Arsenal’s future. Meanwhile, I think we’re done buying strikers and mid-fielders if we close in on Giroud and M’Vila. Our defence should be next.
