Friday is here and almost over.
Friday is a day I always look forward and don’t even think it’s because of the #TGIF turn-up everywhere.
Well I always turn-up, in my house, every Friday night, sleeping
You might have guessed it right though, I look forward to Fridays because it says one thing, ‘’EPL is back’’.
After a week that had loads of debates following the Costa issue last weekend and the Capital one cup victory over Spuds, we can finally go back to the Premiership.
We travel to Leicester and face Riyad Mahrez and his goons. I have to admit those guys have been amazing this season, so much so that I have Mahrez and Vardy in my Fantasy Premier League (FPL) team.
As much as I want them to have a good game every weekend so I can get good points on my FPL, my beloved Arsenal has to come first this weekend.
So sorry boys but you guys have to lose this one.
Leicester have been the surprise package this season and remain the only unbeaten team in the league and even though they have found it hard to keep a clean sheet, they find themselves in third position.
Amazing, just amazing.
One thing we can take into cognizance is their leaky defence and hopefully we are firing on all cylinders come tomorrow, we are sure to get at least 2 goals.
Last week, Ranieri promised his players Pizza if they kept a clean sheet and sadly they didn’t, so no free Pizza. For this week, we can expect him to up the offer, maybe Pizza and drinks or something.
After 2 defeats on a bounce to Zagreb and Chelsea, we needed that victory against the Spuds to build confidence and I believe it did just that.
With confidence back in the team, we should come out from the Leicester game all smiles.
Cazorla has served his one game suspension against Spurs so he is back in the team.
With the absence of Coquelin, Flamini created a good case for himself during the week and might start alongside Cazorla tomorrow if the Coq if not fit.
With some uncertainty over Gabriel and his charge for improper conduct, Per looks likely to return and partner Koscielny.
With no new injury concerns, we can expect the likes of Bellerin, Cech, Ozil and the others back in the team.
Our last visit to Leicester was nothing to write home about, we had 23 shots and the game still ended 1-1. Hopefully would be better.
I expect Sanchez to find his scoring boots tomorrow though, so in case he scores, I said it first.
Leicester have not won us since the 1995/95 season and we had better not let that run end tomorrow.
With City already 5 points ahead of us, this game is a must win. No dropping of points now guys.
Leicester might be the comeback kings this season but then again, WE ARE THE ARSENAL.
Am out.
