Hey people, sit back, relax and enjoy this write up as I take you all on a ride of the transfer stories surrounding the emirates.
Firstly, It’s no news again about how we are really close to signing Petr Cech from Chelsea but that strong headed Mourinho is really trying to make life tough for us. From reports flying around, a deal in the region of 11m has been agreed already but Mou is saying he would want a player exchange with Chamberlain or Walcott going the other way to the Stamford Bridge and we all know Wenger would not even flinch about that.
Reports also claim that Chelsea are stalling the deal till they can get a replacement for Cech with Stoke City’s Asmir Begovic the most likely candidate.
I for one know that this deal could have been completed a long time ago but for Mourinho’s stubbornness. I mean, Cech wants to come, Abrahamovich is indifferent about it and would play along with what Cech wants but Mourinho…………
It’s simple, I like your keeper, he likes my club and wants to come, take 11m and give him to us. How hard can that be??
Hope this deal is wrapped up by the Weekend though so Szczesny can be sorted out real quick and am sure Wenger would not sell the Polish man, a loan maybe but def not a selling.
Also, according to Sky Italia, Arsene Wenger has personally held talks with Geoffrey kondogbia and Arsenal are now favourites to sign him to compete for that holding midfield role with Coquelin. The French man is already subject to a 20m offer from AC Milan but then after Wenger spoke some quality French to him, he sure is reconsidering.
In terms of defensive reinforcement tho, it has been reported that we are in for a certain Joe Gomez from Charlton Athletic. Charlton want at least 7m for the defender but as things stand, Arsenal face competition from Aston Villa, Liverpool and Tottenham.
On the contrary there has been no recent reports of any incoming forward. For what we know tho, Podolski has said he would not want to be on the bench or in the stand this coming season and is already in negotiations with Galatasaray in a bid costing as little as 1.4m.
That’s all I have for you guys now but just so you know my take on all these transfer stories, in most cases we barely hear about the players we end up signing because Wenger is a much coded guy. I have learnt to just sit and observe because whenever we are linked to a player and it’s all over the news, just watch as Wenger signs a player that no one expected or heard anything about.
So I enjoin you to just sit down and observe as Wenger does his magic.
