It really is a good feeling, isn’t it?
A weekend beckons on us, with the hope of watching normal football once again restored after 2 weeks of international torture. Long may these days continue *cheers*.
We face the blue half of Manchester and the other half of the Arsenal ‘traitors’ club tomorrow, and I’m not sure how I feel about the match at this point, other than it’s at least nice to look forward to the game tomorrow.
I think the outcome of tomorrow’s game is going to be down to how and if our team TURN UP! As with every Arsenal loss I have witnessed, it occurs to me that we lose not due to the opponent being too strong, but to us failing to TURN UP.
It’s both weird and annoying because when other teams decide they won’t spin around upwards during a performance, at least it’s just one or two sides of their game. But if my beloved Arsenal decides to not TURN UP, it is – as we have witnessed time and again – a catastrophe! With us, EVERYTHING goes to shit. Our defense, midfield and attack, they all go to shit. We can be so bad we can’t even string passes together towards the opponent’s goal post or on very bad days, fail to register a shot on target until it’s the 85th minute.
A curious case it is if you ask me.
So as I am seated here, trying to string together random words that make meaning and altogether count up to at least 500, I wonder to myself, will my beloved Arsenal TURN UP or fall to shit?
Will Mertasacker decide to have a stinker? Will Koscielny do something rash and get sent off in the 16th minute? Will Wilshere give the ball away in front of our 18 yard box trying to dribble out of pressure when a simple pass sideways would have sufficed? Will Ozil be so shit he’ll have difficulties controlling the ball or even giving a pass? Will Debuchy allow balls in-between his legs? Will Chamberlain decide to run the ball out or run into an opposition player every time he tries to create?
So many questions I tell you, so many questions.
There’s also the scenario tomorrow in which my beloved Arsenal do TURN UP but the officials decide it will be a great game to enjoy the oil money of the Arabs, or maybe, a good day to just be shit and get a dozen important calls wrong, none of which will be in favour of my beloved Arsenal.
These are scary thoughts my brethren.
One can not live by negative thoughts alone so it could be that our beloved Arsenal do TURN UP tomorrow and smash the blue half of Manchester.
Oh what fun that would be.
Alas, I amassed over 500 words. *does Rihanna’s butterfly dance*
Jokes aside, I’m looking forward to see what the great chef does with the formation tomorrow. I’d love to see Sanchez-Welbeck-Chamberlain in front tomorrow.
Have a nice day folks.
