A good day to you too.
I’m crushed that no one called in to find out about my sudden disappearance…
For 3 whole days! Cruel you!
But it’s fine, I forgive you because I’m a good person and you’re just a person without feelings.
Moving on…
So Wenger says he wants to keep Alex Oxlade Chamberlain:
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he wants to keep midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at the Emirates.
The England international, 24, has recently been linked with a move to Chelsea, although his contract expires next summer.
“I want to keep my best players,” said Wenger. “My only target is to keep everyone on board. We’ve invested time and money and confidence on players like Ox and they have a responsibility. I hope he commits.
“I am completely happy with the strength of squad and I have too many players, some with no chance to compete for places.”
He also wants to keep Alexis Sanchez:
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed he wants Alexis Sanchez to stay at the club beyond the end of his current deal.
The Chile forward’s contract runs out next summer, with the player having so far refused to extend his stay in the capital.
“I want Alex to stay at the club and be one of the big players of the future at this club,” Wenger said in his press conference today.
“He is one of the players the team has to be built around in the future.
“Personally I want him to commit to the club and be one of the carriers of the values of our team.”
Well, I wanted to go to UCL but couldn’t afford to pay that much money for fees and expensive living in London so I went to school up North.
I also wanted to buy a BMW X3 but ended up buying a Toyota Corolla because I didn’t have the money for a BMW and also thought it wasn’t necessary buying a luxury car.
I also wanted to have fried chicken at the Chicken Republic today but, well, the taxi driver sped right past the restaurant besides, fast food isn’t a healthy option.
I wanted…
Okay, so I’m sure you catch my drift now.

He’s got to show a little bit more than always bidding below asking price for players who might give the club a title push – Thomas Lemar? (By the way, Wenger says that deal is dead).
He’s got to show that we’ll swoop for players we maybe were in for before but couldn’t get and can get now – Julian Draxler?
He’s got to show that he’s gutted by losing to a small rugby team irrespective of us not getting penalties – Stoke?
He’s got to show that he’s versatile and sound with his tactics and that his tactics are tailored to the team we face – 3-4-3 away at Stoke? With a defence not made up of core defenders?
Lord! I even tailor my tactics to teams on Football Manager! Even I know that!
Take a minute…
How do you think this makes us look to the top players you dream of Arsenal signing?
They watch games you know? They watch body language. And no winner wants to be part of that.
Would you work for a failing company even if they offered a good salary? If you’re a high flyer, you wouldn’t.
Thierry Henry mentioned in an interview with Sky Sports on Zlatan’s return to United:
Alexis Sanchez is this sort of player, desperate to win and conquer and they won’t settle for less. Zlatan stayed, Pogba and Lukaku went to United because they SEE the manager’s WILL to win. Whether the means he uses are Machiavellian or not, every game, every fresh press, every movement of his body shows that he wants to win.
And that’s what the players see. And that’s why most players want to work with him. And until Arsene changes his vibe, Arsenal will no longer be a choice destination for players who want to win.
