News filtered in this morning about Arsenal plotting a bid for Fernando Llorente…
And I wasn’t impressed.
Not that Llorente isn’t a good player, I wanted him before we bought Podolski. Remember when he was on fire in the La Liga? Yes, that was the time. I don’t know what happened, but we didn’t get him. However, Arsenal are a different kettle of fish at the moment.
Don’t look at me like that, we ARE a different kettle of fish at the moment.
Sanchez, Cech, Ozil, Carzola, Ramsey…that’s what it is at the moment my dear friends. Even if you want to take me on Rambo and Carzola, you can still say we have 3 world class players on our team.
So where does Llorente fit in in all this?
Having scored only 8 goals in 31 appearances for Juventus, it makes Welbeck (who we complain isn’t scoring enough goals) seem world class. If we wanted to go after any aging striker at Juventus, it would have been Tevez bar his issues. I mean, we were willing to take a risk on Suarez and Sterling, why not Tevez?!
Anyways, that’s enough musing for now, there isn’t much news out there except for the usual rumours and gossip.
