What a weekend! What a game! 😀
The top clubs dropped points and Arsenal grabbed the much needed points; I can only hope that it’s up-up-and-away from here.
I missed the game though as I was at a cousin’s wedding (the things you do for family) *sigh*, but, you know, I did some twitter game watching, the worst thing for your nerves I tellz ya. Ozil came good (appreciate Ozil in this video), as he was played where he was supposed to be played, yes, I’m talking to you Wenger and, Welbz opened his goal account. When this team gels, it’ll be a joy to watch.
Any ways, the Capital One Cup match against Southampton’s tomorrow and it’s not going to be a ride in the park, make no mistake. The boys will need rotating though especially as Rosicky, Joel Campbell and the Ox haven’t really played much.
Joel Campbell has barely had 16 minutes of game play at the club, Sanogo has gotten more play time and I really don’t know why. Joel has World Cup and Champions League experience and he was one of the major forces which took Costa Rica as far as it went at the World Cup. I think he should start against Southampton.
I see him as a more effective player than Yaya Sanogo at the moment, faster, more aggressive and not afraid to shoot. I know it’s down to the boss but I think we’ve got a diamond in the rough in Joel.
Rosicky and the Ox should have some play time as well, no use letting the little Mozart and Campbell grow discontent in the team.
As an aside, I’m thinking Manure fans trump Liverpool and Spud fans as the worst of the worst, really. Mario Balotelli did a Szczesny on Manchester United after their loss to Leicester and he got abused by some really gross United fans:

Urgh! Football fans amaze me sometimes.
