Maybe it’s an overreaction from me but, I worry about us tinkering if Arsenal were to meet a bigger, more ruthless team, say, Liverpool. United? City?
And, don’t mention the community shield.

My theory is if it’s not broken, then there’s no need to fix it. Areteta’s trying to fix a system that works and I’m not sure why.
We conceded 1 goal against Nottingham Forest and 2 goals against Fulham. These are teams we should be finishing off if we are to compete at City’s level.

In the games where Arteta tinkered with the already established system of playing, you can see that two of those games had us leaking avoidable goals.
The one which comes to the fore of my mind is the misplaced pass from Saka. He was expecting Ben White to be in a place where he eventually was not due to this new system. Playing Thomas Partey at right-back doesn’t work; period.
And it would be a pleasure for teams with quick, strong wingers to play us when we have him at rightback.
