Yesterday broke my heart.
Seeing Welbz (Danny Welbeck) in so much pain, physically and emotionally. It was almost too much, like when Rambo broke a leg and nearly had his career cut short by evil Ryan Shawcross.

It sent so many memories flooding back; memories of times when I thought I had it all set and figured out and then something or someone rudely shook me out of my reverie.
I remember when I was a student in England and wanted so badly to stay. I loved the country and the people plus, I had friends and family there. It was like a second home.
Oh, and I had just locked down a job with SKY and bumped into footballers and other sports people daily. And my employers had told me after a few months that they’d like to apply for a work permit for me. How cool was that?!
Then, bang! A new immigration rule stated that I had to earn at least £31,000 a year for my employers to sponsor the work permit.
How many jobs paid £31,000 p/a to a fresh graduate in 2012? Not many.
I was crushed.
So, here’s Welbeck. Danny Welbeck. Getting in his stride as our best second option striker. He has overcome injuries, is working hard and is scoring goals. Maybe Arsenal are having second thoughts on selling him. He loves the club; that guy Welbz.
And then this happens.
I wonder what he’s thinking here:
“What happens to me next?”
“When next will I get to play?”
“Will I ever play again?”
“Is this my last shot?”
Endless questions.
I’m hoping he gets well soon and is back to his old self. Get well soon Welbz.
In other news…
We face Wolverhampton on Sunday.
I’ll be writing a blog post on that soon. Make sure to check the blog and take part in our regular polls. It takes some time to load so, please, be patient.
